Direct marketing by email, SMS and WhatsApp


We may send you marketing communications by email, SMS, WhatsApp or other electronic channels where you have opted in or where we are otherwise permitted to do so under applicable law.


By opting in to receive SMS messages, you agree that LYMA may send you recurring marketing, promotional, transactional or service-related text messages at the telephone number you provided. Message frequency may vary. Message and data rates may apply. Consent to receive marketing text messages is not a condition of purchase.


You can opt out of marketing communications at any time. For email, use the unsubscribe link in our emails. For SMS, reply STOP, LYMASTOP, END, CANCEL, UNSUBSCRIBE or QUIT, or follow the opt-out instructions in the message. For WhatsApp, follow the opt-out instructions in the message or contact us at usconcierge@lyma.life.


We do not sell, rent, or share SMS opt-in data or consent with third parties for marketing purposes. We may share your information with service providers that support our messaging services, including platform providers, phone carriers, and vendors assisting in the delivery of text messages.


We may retain a suppression record to make sure we respect your opt-out request.

Sale, sharing and targeted advertising

We do not knowingly sell or share personal information of consumers under 16 years of age.


App data, facial scans, biometric information and consumer health data


When you use the LYMA App, we may collect account information, device and usage data, profile information and facial scan images or other images that you upload or capture through the App to help you track skincare progress over time.


Depending on how the App features are configured and the state in which you reside, facial scan images, face geometry, skin-related information or similar data may be treated as sensitive personal information, biometric information, biometric identifiers, biometric data or consumer health data under certain US laws.


We use App data to operate and maintain the App, provide skincare progress-tracking features, display personalised insights, provide customer support, secure the App, troubleshoot issues, improve product performance and, where disclosed to you, conduct research and modelling using de-identified or aggregated data.


Where required by law, we will obtain your consent before collecting or using biometric information, biometric data or consumer health data. You may withdraw consent where required by applicable law by using App settings, if available, or by contacting usconcierge@lyma.life.


We do not sell facial scan images, biometric information or consumer health data. We do not use facial scan images or other App special/sensitive data for third-party marketing unless we have clearly disclosed that use and obtained any consent required by applicable law.


We share limited App data with service providers and processors that support App hosting, infrastructure, analytics, customer support, security and secure image processing. Where these providers process personal information on our behalf, they may only use it in accordance with our instructions and subject to appropriate contractual confidentiality, security and privacy obligations.


If we use App data, SDKs or similar technologies for advertising, measurement or remarketing, we will explain this where required and provide any opt-out or consent choices required by applicable law.


Cookies, pixels, SDKs and similar technologies


Our website and App may use cookies, pixels, SDKs, tags, local storage and similar technologies. These technologies help us operate the site and App, remember preferences, understand how visitors interact with our services, improve performance, prevent fraud, measure advertising and deliver or personalise marketing.

California privacy rights


If you are a California resident, the California Consumer Privacy Act, as amended, may provide you with additional rights, including the right to know, access, correct, delete, opt out of sale or sharing, limit certain uses and disclosures of sensitive personal information, and not be discriminated against for exercising your rights.


In the preceding 12 months, we may have collected the categories of personal information described in the “Personal information we may collect” section and disclosed those categories to the recipient categories described in the “Disclosure of personal information” section for the business and commercial purposes described in this notice.


We may disclose identifiers, internet or device information, commercial information, preference information and inferences to analytics, advertising, social media and marketing technology partners in ways that may be considered “sharing” or targeted advertising under California or other state privacy laws.
